Behind the Scenes:

What Keeps Our Audience Up at Night

Millennials are now entering their caregiving years. Many are raising young children, managing full-time careers, and simultaneously taking care of aging parents. Despite this growing role, most digital tools cater to the extremes, either pediatric care or elderly health, leaving the caregiver themselves unsupported and overwhelmed.

Identifying Gaps in the Market

SWOT and PESTEL analyses were used to assess the current landscape, highlighting not just product features, but also shifts in policy, user behavior, and market dynamics.

Building on these insights, we applied Blue Ocean Strategy and the ERRC framework to reveal unmet needs and overlooked emotional drivers. This approach helped position WellNest with a clear, differentiated value in an otherwise saturated wellness service space.

User Research

Based on varying health management habits, I designed the questionnaire structure to conduct more targeted research on the audience. The aim was to study their usage patterns and mental models regarding health management products. Ultimately, our team developed a conditional questionnaire tailored to the behavioral patterns of different user groups.

All insights from the questionnaires and desirability interviews were synthesized through affinitizing map.

These insights were then categorized into 3 main iteration phases based on their implementation difficulty and potential benefits.

Business Model Canvas

First User Desirability Testing

User Level:

High Operational Burden: Due to complex features or unclear tasks, some users rely on existing instincts, leading to a decline in trust toward new tools.

Market Level:

Lack of Intuitive Solutions for Multi-User Health Management: This gap limits the ability to significantly attract and convert potential users.

The Comeback

With the optimized feature prioritization and later wireframes for subsequent usability testing. I further designed the testing process, metrics, and KPIs. Surprisingly, we received excellent feedback. Apart from the community-building flow testing in Phase 2, every other flow achieved over 90% completion rate. Additionally, the overall testing process averaged 2 minutes and 3 seconds, significantly outperforming the user expectation of around 4 minutes.
